Name: Robin Nico

Canon Point: Chapter 840ish right before they leave Zou
Sex/Gender:Female
Actual Age/Apparent Age:30

Belongings: Nothing aside from herself, her clothes and her sunglasses

Skills and Powers: Robin has the ability to basically blossom any part of her body out of any thing including herself/other people. She can even make a duplicate of herself and form a bunch of regular sized hands into giant hands (or legs or whatever she chooses) I'll limit her by making more than the basic moves extremely tiring for her to do/maintain more than a few moments.

History and Personality: History wiki link

Robin is a woman of (literally) many parts and most of them are mysterious. Or at least that's how she comes off to strangers. Due to her past of constantly running for her life, she has issues with trusting people outside of her crew. Though this has eased up a great deal the longer shes been with them and the more confident she's become. For example, whereas before in Skypiea she would wander off and act out of her own interests, two years later in Dressarosa she is fighting with he crew for the sake of others outside of it, and even protects one of the “outsiders”, shielding her with her own body and taking painful damage. Even so, to outsiders she is reluctant to open up and would rather keep her cool distance.

When she is with her crew, Robin is a warm, affectionate individual. Though equipped with dark humor in tense situations (for example saying she hopes the sea doesn't turn red with their blood) she nevertheless loves her crew and, along with the others, fights by their side to keep them safe. But she enjoys teasing them as well and spoiling the cuter members, though more specifically Chopper because Robin loves cute things. Though that's not to say she doesn't get irritated with their antics, (and the fact that she does implies they are family to her), but she lets it go easily enough. (Unless they dare to make Chopper uncute)

On the hobbies side of things, Robin is an intellectual. An archaeologist from a very young age, she has spent her whole life trying to unravel the hidden mystery of the world even though its forbidden. She is all for exploring ruins and puzzling out centuries old puzzles, as well as copious amounts of reading. She not only reads of the past though, but is well up on current events, knowing most of the movers and shakers of their world. This is partly because, growing up so paranoid, she had to make sure she knew what was going on where. She also has taken up drawing, and admires her art. (though it probably wouldn't be considered fantastic)

Finally, due to her background, Robin is particularly good at espionage and spying. A part of her likes the thrill of danger. (since she basically backstabbed one of the more powerful warlords while all the time working as his right hand) Now that she's more settled, while she likes danger, she's not so much into the espionage bit but she will pull on that cloak if she has to or for the safety of her crew and captain. She's fairly merciless in her protection of them, with no qualms with snapping necks and breaking spines in order to help. If you're an enemy you're an enemy and that's all there is to it.

First Person/Action brackets:

[Robin is sitting in a plush chair, a cup of coffee steaming gently at her elbow as she reads through an illustrated copy of Moby Dick that sits on her lap. She reaches the last page and looks at it a moment before closing it and taking a sip of coffee]

It's interesting. Has anyone heard of this book? I hadn't. The writing is unfamiliar and the setting. So gray... [she shakes her head] Yet it's familiar. My world has a similar story if not the same. A ship called the Moby Dick and a crew that sought vengeance and met a sad end. [though it was more than that and less than that and not her story to tell. Either way she smiles sadly]

But it's curious that there are these kinds of connections, ne? No matter what I read here I can't help but see parallels. [she waves a hand at the books around her] I wonder if there's a kind of central theme to the-- I don't know what you'd call it-- worlds? Universes? We are all moved by a similar thread.

Or perhaps... we're all just characters in books. [her smile turns teasing and, perhaps, a little sinister] Which speaks against book burnings, doesn't it? One wrong move and we could roast ourselves. What a horrible way to die.

Well... [she smiles and a hand blossoms on the shelf above her. She hands the book to that hand and more appear in a line to move the book up to its proper place on the shelf, tucking it in carefully] If you have any tales to tell of similar worlds, please let me know. I have to collect more data if we're truly going to save this place.

Keep in touch.

[and with a wink she signs off]

Third Person/Prose:
For some time Robin has wondered what she should feel about being pulled away from her crew and taken here. It's not as if they can afford it after all. She does not know what Wano will bring, but danger most certainly because it follows them like a cute rabid wolf. Besides which she's never been and there are things to explore and poneglyphs to uncover and translate.

Here, though, for the first time she is able to feel, if not good, somewhat justified at her kidnapping. In fact she is fairly close to angry.

“What is this carelessness?” There is an entire wall of books that have been haphazardly it seems shoved in there any which way. Sometimes violently. Poor pages are crumpled and spines are bent and they are in no discernible order. When she finds the one that did this there is going to be some considerable arm twisting.

As it is, she will have to fix it. She widens her stands and crosses her arms over her chest, palms up.

“Cien Fleur!”

A flurry of hands appear along the shelves, taking books down that are damaged and must be repaired and sorting others in piles according to number or subject. She will take care of this even if it takes her all night. Feel free to approach her and help out, but be careful not to be too quiet. She's not in the mood to be snuck up on.
